Disappearance and Context
Richard Ronald Walzer, a 55-year-old resident of Medford, Oregon, went missing under mysterious circumstances on February 18, 2022. Measuring 6'2" and weighing between 220–260 lbs, he was last seen wearing a blue-gray button-down shirt and blue jeans. Importantly, he was driving a rented silver Nissan pickup truck at the time—and was believed to be carrying a full-sized camera with him.
Initial Investigation and Discoveries
Approximately one week after his disappearance, deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office discovered his abandoned vehicle in the parking lot north of Gold Hill Sports Park, located along the Rogue River corridor.
