A Familiar Face in the Hudson Valley

Nacom J. Romero, a 48-year-old resident of New Paltz, New York, was a well-known figure in his community. Standing at 5 feet 8 inches and weighing 180 pounds, Romero was described as a Hispanic male with brown eyes and brown hair. His passion for the outdoors, particularly hiking along the Wallkill River in New Paltz and the Rondout River in Rosendale, made him a regular presence in these natural settings. His disappearance in early December 2017 left the community and authorities searching for answers.  

The Day He Disappeared

Romero was last seen at his residence on Route 32 in New Paltz during the first week of December 2017. There were no immediate signs of distress or indications that he planned to leave for an extended period.
