In November 2013, Eric Florke, 39, and Baldemar "J.R." Hernandez, 25, embarked on a new chapter together by purchasing and remodeling a home in San Antonio's North Side. Their relationship, spanning approximately two and a half years, was marked by shared ambitions and a deep commitment to each other. Friends described them as a harmonious couple, deeply involved in their community and passionate about their respective careers.

The Shocking Discovery

On January 11, 2014, the tranquility of the 13400 block of Vista Del Mar was shattered. Neighbors noticed the couple's garage door remained open for an unusual duration, and their dogs roamed freely, raising concerns. Upon investigating, they found an open door leading into the house, where they discovered the lifeless bodies of Florke and Hernandez, both bearing gunshot wounds.
