In the vast expanse of Alaska's Denali National Park and Preserve, a tragic incident unfolded in August 2023, leading to the presumed deaths of pilot Jason Tucker and passenger Nicolas Blace. The unforgiving terrain and harsh environmental conditions have rendered recovery efforts perilous, leaving the victims' remains unrecovered.

The Fateful Flight

On August 9, 2023, Jason Tucker, a 45-year-old pilot from Wasilla, Alaska, embarked on a flight with his passenger, 44-year-old Nicolas Blace from Chugiak, Alaska. They were aboard a Piper PA-18 Super Cub aircraft, intending to transport Blace to a remote airstrip near the Dillinger River, close to the western boundary of Denali's southwest preserve.
