The Fateful Flight
On the morning of August 27, 2023, 59-year-old Clayton McMartin and his 58-year-old wife, Melissa, departed from Glennallen, Alaska, piloting a Beechcraft Bonanza B-36 aircraft. Their intended destination was Ketchikan, a journey that would take them over the expansive and often treacherous landscapes of Alaska.
