A Man Disappears: The Last Known Sightings

On July 20, 2017, 49-year-old Neil Little Eagle vanished near Porcupine, South Dakota. Known to some as “Mesu,” Neil was last seen leaving on foot, reportedly heading toward Scottsbluff, Nebraska—over 150 miles away. His disappearance remains one of the most haunting unsolved cases on the Pine Ridge Reservation. 

A Vulnerable State: Health and Safety Concerns

Neil’s disappearance was especially alarming due to his medical condition. He suffered from dementia, seizures, and was legally blind. He also required medication, which he did not have with him at the time he went missing. These factors made him particularly vulnerable and in urgent need of care.
