A Holiday Visit Turns Tragic
On December 17, 1993, nine-year-old Chance Lee Wackerhagen left his mother’s home in Kingsville, Texas, to spend the Christmas holidays with his father, Lee Herman Wackerhagen Jr., in Lockhart. Lee and Chance’s mother, Gaye Williams, had divorced three years earlier, with Williams retaining custody. On Christmas Day, Chance called his mother, expressing happiness and excitement about his presents and requesting to stay a few more days with his father. A Gruesome Discovery
On December 27, 1993, Latricia Gail White, Lee's 38-year-old live-in girlfriend, was found murdered in their apartment.
