A Holiday Visit Turns Tragic

On December 17, 1993, nine-year-old Chance Lee Wackerhagen left his mother’s home in Kingsville, Texas, to spend the Christmas holidays with his father, Lee Herman Wackerhagen Jr., in Lockhart. Lee and Chance’s mother, Gaye Williams, had divorced three years earlier, with Williams retaining custody.
