On the evening of August 25, 2017, 42-year-old Shawna C. Jones left her home on Walter Street in Charlotte, North Carolina, driving her roommate's red 2016 Mazda 6. She never returned. Two days later, her roommate, Earnest Hooper, reported her missing after unsuccessful attempts to contact her.
