The Disappearance of a Newton Teen

On May 28, 2018, 15-year-old Katelin Caddell vanished from Newton, Kansas, a small city in Harvey County. Standing 5'6" tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, Katelin's sudden disappearance sent shockwaves through the community. Authorities believed she might have traveled to Leavenworth or Lansing, Kansas, and noted that she was in need of medical attention, heightening concerns for her safety.  

Initial Investigation and Public Appeals

Following Katelin's disappearance, the Newton Police Department initiated an investigation, registering the case under number 18-1810. Deputy Chief Craig Dunlavy was listed as the primary contact for the case.
