A Familiar Routine Disrupted
On January 23, 2019, Jeffrey Arild Keidser, a 61-year-old resident of Redondo Beach, California, vanished without a trace. A well-known figure in his community, Keidser had lived in the same house on Avenue C since 1964 and was a trusted dog walker and pet sitter for many local families. That morning, his sister dropped off her two dogs at his home, expecting him to care for them as he had done many times before. However, when she returned the next day, she found only one dog at his residence. Keidser, along with the other dog named Frankie, was missing. His cellphone, checks, and gift cards were left behind, suggesting an unplanned departure.
A Troubling Mental State
Family members revealed that Keidser had been experiencing delusional thoughts, believing that people were out to get him. This mental state raised concerns about his safety and well-being.
