On the evening of May 4, 1991, Roxanne Saucer Martin, a 37-year-old Orlando resident, visited the Fairbanks Inn on West Fairbanks Avenue. Arriving around 6:00 p.m., she spent the evening playing pool with a man who introduced himself as "Randy" or "David." Witnesses described him as a white male, approximately 40 to 45 years old, about 6'2" tall in cowboy boots, weighing around 200 pounds, with graying brown hair, a beard, and a mustache. He had a tattoo on his arm, a broken nose, and decayed or missing teeth . Around 9:30 p.m., Roxanne left the bar with this man, leaving her own car parked outside. She has not been seen or heard from since.
The man Roxanne left with was reportedly driving a black 1988 Kenworth tractor-trailer with a sleeper cab and a wind spoiler. The trailer was possibly silver or white and appeared to be old. He was believed to be from Texas and was wearing cowboy boots, a black cowboy hat adorned with an armadillo stickpin, and a thick belt with a large oval buckle . Despite efforts by law enforcement and Roxanne's family, this individual has never been identified. Authorities have not labeled him a suspect but consider him a person of interest and are seeking him for questioning.
Roxanne's absence was noted when she failed to appear for work at "Anything Plastic" in Winter Park on Monday, May 6, 1991. Her friend, Judy D. Anderson, reported her missing that day. Roxanne's father, Gene Saucer, a retired Air Force pilot and Realtor, took an active role in the search for his daughter. He interviewed over 50 people who had been at the Fairbanks Inn that night and distributed thousands of flyers at truck stops and weigh stations across Florida . Despite these efforts, no substantial leads emerged.
The community's response to Roxanne's disappearance was significant. A photomontage of Roxanne was displayed at the Fairbanks Inn, serving as a constant reminder of her absence . Discussions on forums like Websleuths have kept the case in public consciousness, with users sharing information and theories. Notably, some have pointed out that Roxanne was one of three individuals who went missing from the Fairbanks Inn area over a span of three years, suggesting a possible connection that has yet to be explored ....Read More
