The Fateful Day
The Lane Bryant store, located in the Brookside Marketplace shopping center, opened its doors at 10:00 a.m. on February 2, 2008. Shortly after, a man posing as a delivery person entered the store. He soon revealed his true intentions by brandishing a .40-caliber Glock handgun, announcing a robbery. The assailant herded six women—two employees and four customers—into a back room, where he bound their hands and feet with duct tape and forced them to lie face down.
