At approximately 7:55 p.m., a delivery driver entered the Dolly Madison Bakery outlet located at 1004 Harrison and stumbled upon a gruesome scene: the lifeless bodies of 24-year-old Mandi Alexander and 79-year-old Mary Drake. Alexander, a recent hire at the bakery, was working her third day, while Drake was a customer who had stopped by to purchase a loaf of bread. Both women had been brutally murdered with a sharp object, though the exact weapon was never recovered.
