A Life Cut Short
On December 9, 2009, the city of DeLand, Florida, was shaken by the untimely death of 33-year-old Tymon Dykyl "Ty-Ly" Ross. Born in July 1976 in Gainesville, Florida, Tymon was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, having established the Betty Boy Trucking Company in DeLand. His vibrant personality and dedication to helping others left an indelible mark on those who knew him. Friends and family remember him as a lover of people who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed assisting those in need.
A Community Mourns
The news of Tymon's death sent ripples through the DeLand community. Public visitation was held on December 18, 2009, at Unity Funeral Home, followed by a Home Going Service on December 19 at the First Baptist Church of DeLand. The services were attended by numerous family members and friends, all mourning the loss of a man who had touched their lives in meaningful ways.
