Introduction to the Case
On February 25, 2020, Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by a tragic event that remains unresolved to this day. Steven Craig Barlow, a 52-year-old resident of Leitchfield, Kentucky, lost his life in a double shooting near Wyandotte Park. Despite the passage of time, the circumstances surrounding his death continue to perplex investigators and haunt the community.
The Incident Unfolds
At approximately 5:15 p.m. on that fateful Tuesday, Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 3700 block of Warren Avenue, situated between Churchill Downs and Wyandotte Park. Upon arrival, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds: Steven Barlow and Matthew Dennis. Both victims were promptly transported to the University of Louisville Hospital.
