A Life Cut Short
In the early hours of December 31, 2017, the city of Indianapolis awoke to the tragic news of the death of Raven Alexandria Mayes. At 35 years old, Raven's life was abruptly ended, leaving a void in the hearts of her family and friends. She was discovered around 4:45 a.m., having sustained multiple gunshot wounds, in the 5300 block of Acorn Lane, near the Aspen Chase at Eagle Creek apartment complex.
A Loving Mother and Dedicated Worker
Raven was more than a victim; she was a mother, daughter, and friend. She graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana, and had attended Kaplan University. At the time of her death, she was employed as a server and waitress at Applebee's and JD's Bar.
