Born in Łomża, Poland, in 1920, Rabbi Rabinowitz immigrated to the United States as a teenager, escaping the impending horrors of World War II. In 1950, he assumed the role of rabbi at Kesher Israel Congregation, where he became a cornerstone of the community.
