A Tragic Evening in Wilmington
On the evening of March 23, 2003, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Wilmington Police were dispatched to the 800 block of North Spruce Street following reports of a shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Phillip Woody suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Phillip succumbed to his injuries, marking the beginning of a case that remains unsolved to this day.
The Immediate Aftermath
The community was shaken by the sudden loss of a young life. Friends and family of Phillip were left in profound grief, seeking answers to the senseless act of violence.
