A Promising Life Cut Short
On the night of September 10, 2015, the vibrant community of Miami was shaken by the tragic loss of 17-year-old Randall Robinson III. Known for his aspirations and dedication, Randall was a sophomore at Miami Northwestern Senior High School, where he had previously showcased his athletic talents on the football field during his freshman year. Despite a knee injury from wrestling that sidelined him from sports, he remained a committed student with dreams of attending college. His father, Randall Robinson II, poignantly reflected, "My son's a B-C student and he hoped to go to college. He was a good young man and I'm going to miss him."
The Tragic Incident
That fateful evening, Randall decided to walk to a nearby store, a routine errand that would tragically be his last. At approximately 9:30 PM, as he reached the vicinity of NW 3rd Avenue and 53rd Street, a vehicle approached, and without warning, gunfire erupted.
