A Life Cut Short

On the evening of October 8, 2019, 24-year-old Kevin Better was found with gunshot wounds in the 5200 block of Sheriff Road, NE, Washington, D.C. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries two days later, on October 10, 2019. Kevin's untimely death has left a void in his community, and his case remains unsolved.

The Night of the Incident

At approximately 7:51 PM on October 8, officers from the Sixth District responded to reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Kevin suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where medical professionals worked tirelessly to save his life.
