A Promising Life Cut Short
On June 14, 2020, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic death of Keith Cortez Malone Jr. Born on September 30, 1999, Keith, affectionately known as "Lul Mundo," was a vibrant young man with a promising future. He graduated from Doss High School in 2018, where he excelled in sports, particularly football. Beyond athletics, Keith was a talented barber and dancer, known for his infectious humor and deep love for his family and friends.
The Fateful Night at the Skate Park
In the early hours of June 14, 2020, a gathering near the Dave Armstrong Extreme Park in Louisville's Butchertown neighborhood turned deadly. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots at the intersection of Clay and Franklin streets. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, Keith Malone Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
