On October 13, 2000, the vibrant community of North Park in San Diego was shaken by a tragic event. Nineteen-year-old Joshua David Ayala was spending the evening with friends in front of an apartment building located at 3030 30th Street. The night took a devastating turn when Joshua was fatally attacked, leaving his companions and the neighborhood in shock and mourning.
The Immediate Aftermath
In the wake of Joshua's death, the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) launched an intensive investigation.
