Johnell Johnson, a 37-year-old resident of Chicago's West Side and a known member of the Black Gangsters, was found lifeless in the street, a fatal gunshot wound to his face. His death added to the alarming tally of 91 homicides that plagued the city that August, marking it as the deadliest month Chicago had witnessed in two decades.
