A Fatal Night in South Chicago
On the evening of June 10, 2016, the South Chicago neighborhood was shaken by a tragic event. Jeremy H. Ray, a 27-year-old resident of Chicago, was standing outside in the 8900 block of South Brandon Avenue around 9:35 p.m. Two unidentified gunmen approached him after exiting a vehicle, opened fire, and then fled the scene by car. Despite being rushed to Advocate Trinity Hospital, Ray succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 10:27 p.m. He resided in the 4200 block of West 112th Place.

In the wake of his untimely death, Jeremy Ray's family, friends, and community members expressed profound grief and paid tribute to his memory.
