In the early hours of December 24, 2012, the vibrant community of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., was shaken by a tragic event. Jason Anthony Emma, a 28-year-old resident of Northeast D.C., was found fatally shot in his vehicle near the intersection of 13th and C Street NE. Emma, who had recently moved into a new home in the area, was pursuing a career in accounting. The Night of the Incident
At approximately 2:15 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Emma slumped over the steering wheel of his Audi, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
