Edward "Andy" Contreras, a 25-year-old resident of Fresno, California, met a tragic end on the night of June 10, 2015. As he stood near a car close to the intersection of McKenzie and San Pablo Avenues, two unidentified males approached him. Without warning, shots were fired, and Edward, despite his efforts to escape, collapsed within a nearby apartment complex. He was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community in shock and a family in mourning.
A Troubled Past
Edward's life was marked by affiliations that may have played a role in his untimely demise. Authorities identified him as a member of the Bulldog gang and noted that he was on parole for a prior home invasion conviction. Fresno Police Lieutenant Mark Salazar commented on the situation, stating, "We are treating him as a victim even though his lifestyle may have played a role in his murder."
