On May 24, 2006, the life of 24-year-old Darius Dyson was tragically cut short when he was fatally shot inside a residence at 1265 Simms Place, NE, in Washington, D.C. Despite the passage of nearly two decades, his murder remains unsolved, leaving his family and the community yearning for answers.
The Night of the Crime
In the early hours of that Wednesday, at approximately 12:08 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Simms Place address.
