A Promising Life Cut Short
On June 30, 2019, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic death of 16-year-old Christopher Hinkle. Described by those who knew him as having "the heart of a lion," Christopher was a young man with dreams and aspirations, much like any teenager his age. His untimely death not only robbed his family of a beloved son and brother but also left a void in the community that continues to be felt to this day.
The Fateful Night
On that fateful night, Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 5300 block of Preston Highway. Upon arrival, they discovered Christopher inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries two days later, on July 2, 2019.
