On the early morning of Saturday, July 8, 2006, the 600 block of N Street NW in Washington, D.C., became the scene of a tragic event. Between 3 and 4 a.m., Chris Crowder was fatally shot, his life abruptly ended in a violent act that has since haunted the community.
