A Tragic Discovery
On January 26, 2008, Anchorage firefighters responded to a blaze at an apartment complex located at 6135 East Tudor Road. After extinguishing the flames, they made a grim discovery: the charred remains of 29-year-old Brandon David Wilson. This incident marked the first homicide in Anchorage for that year. Authorities quickly determined that the fire had been intentionally set, turning a routine fire response into a homicide investigation.
The Victim: Brandon David Wilson
Born on October 13, 1978, in Antioch, California, Brandon Wilson had relocated to Anchorage, Alaska, where he lived with his wife. Just days before his death, on January 22, a minor fire had occurred in their apartment, prompting the couple to vacate the premises temporarily. Tragically, Brandon returned alone to the apartment on January 26, the day of the fatal fire.
