A Rising Star's Life Cut Short
On the evening of July 1, 2016, the vibrant life of 35-year-old aspiring actress and model, Jokisha "Kisha" Brown, was brutally ended. As she sat in her black Mercedes SUV in a strip mall parking lot on Cheshire Bridge Road in northeast Atlanta, an unknown assailant approached and fired multiple shots through the front passenger side window, fatally wounding her. The attack occurred around 10:15 p.m., just hours before what would have been her 36th birthday. Friends reported that Brown had visited the area to have her makeup done in preparation for her birthday celebrations.
A Life Marked by Talent and Tragedy
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Brown relocated to Atlanta with her teenage son to pursue her dreams in acting and modeling. She had made notable appearances in music videos, including Yo Gotti's "5 Star" and Hurricane Chris's "Halle Berry." Despite her professional strides, Brown's personal life was fraught with challenges. In March 2016, her younger brother, Marlon, was tragically shot and killed at a Jacksonville strip club.
