On February 3, 2019, the tranquility of Louisville's Ashley Pointe Mobile Home Park was shattered by a violent crime that remains unsolved to this day. In the early hours of that Sunday, 47-year-old Aqeel Salem Alshemary was fatally shot, leaving a community in mourning and a family seeking answers. Despite ongoing investigations, the perpetrator remains at large, highlighting the challenges law enforcement faces in solving such cases.

The Crime Scene: Ashley Pointe Mobile Home Park

Located in south Louisville, the Ashley Pointe Mobile Home Park became the focal point of a homicide investigation on that fateful morning. Residents were jolted awake around 4 a.m. by the sound of gunfire. Responding to emergency calls, officers discovered Alshemary outside a trailer, critically wounded from gunshots.
