A Tragic Discovery
On December 1, 2015, the lifeless body of April Mullins was discovered in a ditch off Forest Drive near State Road 44, just inside the Lake County line near DeLand, Florida. The 29-year-old had been missing since November 25, 2015, when she was last seen near her home in DeLand. The circumstances surrounding her death were immediately deemed suspicious by authorities.
April's Background and Last Known Whereabouts
April Marie Mullins was a resident of DeLand, known to her neighbors as a well-liked individual. She was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black skinny jeans, and multi-colored socks. Distinctive tattoos adorned her wrists: a bullet on one and the word "proof" on the other, with several stars tattooed on her left forearm.
