In the early hours of July 31, 1982, a perplexing event unfolded in Pedley, California, leaving the community and law enforcement searching for answers. Patricia Jean Schneider, a 25-year-old cocktail waitress, vanished under mysterious circumstances, and her case remains unsolved to this day. This article delves into the details of Patricia's disappearance, the subsequent investigation, and the lingering questions that continue to haunt those who remember her story.
Patricia, affectionately known as "Patti," was born on January 18, 1957. Standing at 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 115 pounds, she was a Caucasian female with straight, shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Patricia was employed as a cocktail waitress at the Palomino Station, a restaurant and nightclub located in Indian Hills, California.
On the night of July 30, 1982, Patricia completed her shift at the Palomino Station. A clerk at the store observed two Caucasian males with sandy hair in the parking lot during the time Patricia was making her call; however, it remains unclear whether these individuals were connected to her disappearance.
Between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. on July 31, a Riverside County sheriff's officer discovered Patricia's Toyota Celica engulfed in flames in a field near the intersection of Doolittle Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard. The fire was determined to be an act of arson. Notably, there was no sign of Patricia at the scene, deepening the mystery surrounding her whereabouts....Read More
