A Life Cut Short
On the evening of December 5, 2015, the life of 20-year-old Kwaza K. Blue was tragically ended. At approximately 9:49 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of 1st Street SW, Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, they discovered Blue suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Immediate Aftermath
The sudden and violent loss of such a young life sent shockwaves through the Southwest D.C. community.
