In the early hours of July 30, 2016, Anchorage was shaken by the tragic death of 18-year-old Elijah Caleb Zeller. Born on December 31, 1997, alongside his twin sister Angelique, Elijah was known for his radiant smile and vibrant personality. A recent graduate of the Alaska Military Youth Academy, he had ambitious plans to pursue a career in carpentry through a union apprenticeship. His untimely demise not only devastated his family but also left the community grappling with unanswered questions.
The Fateful Night
Around 2:00 a.m. on that fateful Saturday, Anchorage Police Department (APD) received a report of a male, later identified as Elijah, being dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
