A Violent Encounter on Colfax Avenue

On September 18, 2013, Denver Police responded to reports of a violent altercation between two transient men near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Speer Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found 52-year-old Clint Burtts severely injured. The immediate response led to his transportation to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.

A Coma and a Life Cut Short

Despite the medical team's efforts, Burtts lapsed into a coma shortly after his arrival at the hospital. For nearly seven months, he remained unresponsive, his condition showing little to no improvement.
