On April 13, 2017, the Louisville community was shaken by the tragic death of Abraham Brown Jr., a 33-year-old man whose life was abruptly ended. Abraham was discovered murdered at 4114 Wilmoth Avenue, leaving family, friends, and the broader community in mourning and seeking answers.
Abraham's journey was marked by notable academic and athletic achievements. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts degree, minoring in business. During his time at the university, he showcased his athletic prowess as a linebacker for the Cardinals football team, contributing to the team's success with his dedication and skill.
Beyond his academic and athletic accomplishments, Abraham was an active member of his community. He was a member of Bates Baptist Church in Louisville, reflecting his commitment to his faith and local engagement. Professionally, he worked for Best Buy, where he was known for his strong work ethic and camaraderie with colleagues.
Abraham's personal life was rich with meaningful relationships. He was engaged to Cara Wilson of Louisville, and was a devoted father to his children: Abraham Brown III, Jaylen Brown, and Breon Oldham.
