Thirty-two-year-old Linda Louise Fledderman vanished in the early hours of August 17, and by evening her longtime boyfriend, Jefferson Lowry Blanton, was found dead inside their home on Sixby Road. Nearly three decades later, the case still hangs over the community like Spanish moss—ever-present, unsettling, and unresolved. 

The last night out

Witnesses placed Fledderman and Blanton at the Myakka City Bar the night before and into the early morning of August 17, 1996.
