Mauricio "Jun" Acero, a 62-year-old Filipino-American resident of Ontario, California, vanished without a trace on September 16, 2020. His sudden disappearance has left his family and the local community in a state of anguish and uncertainty. Despite extensive search efforts and public appeals, Mauricio's whereabouts remain unknown, highlighting the profound challenges faced in missing persons cases.
On the morning of September 16, 2020, Mauricio left his residence near Sultana Elementary School in Ontario, California, for one of his routine walks. He was last seen wearing orange shorts, a blue shirt, and black tennis shoes. Notably, he departed without any form of identification. While it was customary for Mauricio to take walks, he always returned home by evening. His failure to return that day was uncharacteristic and immediately raised concerns among his family members.
Mauricio's medical conditions added a layer of urgency to the search efforts. He required medication for diabetes, depression, and bipolar disorder. Deprived of these essential medications since his disappearance, there was a heightened risk to his well-being. His family emphasized that without his medication, Mauricio might become disoriented or unable to seek help, making the public's assistance crucial.
Mauricio had a pattern of visiting specific locations in and around Ontario. He was known to frequent areas such as San Bernardino casinos, Chino, West Covina, and the vicinity of Philadelphia Street and Euclid Avenue in Ontario. These areas became focal points in the search, with family members and volunteers distributing flyers and speaking with locals in hopes of gathering information. ...Read More
