In September 2000, Trevor George Angell, a 28-year-old long-haul truck driver from Calgary, Alberta, embarked on what was supposed to be a routine delivery from Canada to Los Angeles. Employed by Cool-X Transport, Angell was accustomed to transporting meat southbound and returning north with produce.
