On June 29, 1975, a seemingly ordinary fishing trip to Matagorda Beach in Bay City, Texas, turned into a decades-long mystery that continues to perplex investigators and haunt the family of 15-year-old Rogelio Realme Cerda.

The Unplanned Change of Destination

Rogelio, affectionately known as "Roger" or "Junior," resided with his parents and younger sister on West Woodlawn Avenue in San Antonio. He had recently completed his freshman year at Central Catholic High School and was employed full-time at Amigos Food Co.
