As the second youngest of five children, Brian exhibited a natural aptitude for mathematics and enjoyed activities like playing pool. His academic excellence led him to enroll at the University of Texas at Austin in 1974, where he pursued a major in architectural engineering.
College Life and Social Circles
During his freshman year, Brian resided at The Castilian, a dormitory near the university's Drag area. He was part of a close-knit group of friends from Westchester High School in Houston who also attended UT Austin. Known for their adventurous spirit, the group engaged in various escapades, including accessing the dormitory's rooftop and using firehoses to descend to lower levels.
