On January 31, 2023, the tranquil town of Bandon, Oregon, was shaken by the disappearance of 83-year-old resident Clarence Edward Pitts. Known for his gentle demeanor, Pitts, who suffers from dementia and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), walked away from his home around 1:00 p.m. that day and has not been seen since. Immediate Response and Search Efforts

Upon receiving the missing person report, the Coos County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Bandon Police Department, initiated a comprehensive search operation.
