On October 15, 2016, 20-year-old DeCorrius Brandon Jones disappeared under perplexing circumstances in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Known for his affable nature and aspirations of becoming a chef, DeCorrius was last seen at his residence in the Sugarloaf Crossing Apartments. His sudden and unexplained departure has left his family and the community searching for answers.
The Fateful Evening
In the days leading up to his disappearance, DeCorrius had been experimenting with LSD, a potent hallucinogenic drug. On the evening of October 15, he picked up his girlfriend, Deona Horton, from her workplace around 9:00 p.m. During the short drive back to their apartment, an argument ensued, during which DeCorrius exhibited unusual and erratic behavior. He made perplexing statements, including, "I'm not afraid of anything but God and my mom," and referred to his mother as a deity.
