A Veteran's Vanishing in the Ozarks

On January 16, 2020, 27-year-old Army veteran Matthew Robert Potts was last seen in Ozark, Arkansas. Potts, who had served in Afghanistan, was known to occasionally go off the grid, but his sudden disappearance raised immediate concerns among family and friends. Despite extensive search efforts, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Discovery of an Abandoned Vehicle

Three days after his last sighting, on January 19, Potts' Ford Mustang was discovered abandoned on East Fly Gap Road, a remote area near the Ozark Highlands Trail in Franklin County. His father noted that Potts had no known connections in the area where his car was found, making his presence there puzzling.
