On December 8, 2016, 24-year-old Maynor Vaile was en route from Missouri back to his home in Muskogee, Oklahoma. During his journey, he contacted his girlfriend, Melisa Contreras, informing her that he was being pulled over by the police and would call her back. This was the last known communication from Maynor, and he has not been heard from since.
Maynor's sudden disappearance left his family and friends in a state of shock and confusion. The lack of information about his whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding his last known location has made the investigation particularly challenging. Despite efforts by law enforcement and the community, no concrete leads have emerged to explain what happened to Maynor after his final phone call.
At the time of his disappearance, Maynor was described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He had distinctive tattoos: the name “Dunia” on his neck and “Melisa” on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and a baseball cap. Maynor was driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The case was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) on November 11, 2020, nearly four years after Maynor's disappearance. The delay in entering the case into national databases may have hindered early investigative efforts. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward, but as of now, the case remains unsolved. ...Read More
