On the evening of April 22, 2015, the bustling atmosphere of a Westside McDonald's on Cassat Avenue in Jacksonville was shattered by gunfire. Twenty-seven-year-old Paul Gillins, a known member of the Cutthroat Committee gang, was fatally shot while seated in his vehicle. Two other passengers, both 23-year-old men, sustained injuries in the attack.
