On March 17, 2020, 23-year-old Amanda Grazewski vanished from a friend's apartment on Birch Street in Derry, New Hampshire. She left behind her purse, cellphone, and other personal belongings, an unusual act that immediately raised concerns among her family and friends. Amanda had been staying at a hotel in Nashua but moved to her friend's place due to financial constraints. That night, she stayed up after others had gone to bed, and by morning, she was gone. Her disappearance was reported two days later, initiating a prolonged and challenging investigation.
Authorities discovered text messages on Amanda's phone indicating her desire to move to Salem, New Hampshire. These messages were sent to an unidentified individual using a prepaid burner phone, making it difficult for investigators to trace. Search efforts, including K9 units scouring nearby wooded areas, yielded no significant leads. Nine days after her disappearance, Amanda's Social Security card was found outside Elliot Hospital in Manchester, adding to the mystery but providing no concrete answers.
Amanda's family, particularly her mother Jessica Grazewski, remained steadfast in their search for answers. Despite Amanda's struggles with addiction and periods of homelessness, she maintained regular contact with her family, especially concerning her young daughter, Madeline. Jessica believed that Amanda's sudden disappearance was out of character and suspected foul play. The family offered a reward for information and continued to advocate for Amanda's case to remain active.
Nearly five years later, on March 20, 2025, a significant development occurred. A drone pilot, hired by Amanda's family to search areas previously unexplored, spotted something suspicious near the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course in Derry. Upon investigation, authorities discovered skeletal remains, which were later confirmed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to be those of Amanda Grazewski. ...Read More
