Nestled in Shasta County, California, the small town of Millville is known for its tranquil landscapes and tight-knit community. However, in June 2015, this serenity was disrupted by the mysterious disappearance of 31-year-old Brandon Cole Duval. Known affectionately as "Q" and occasionally using the alias Quinn Goodman, Duval's sudden vanishing left residents and authorities grappling with unanswered questions.
Duval had been residing in the 7000 block of Mallard Way in Millville. On June 6, 2015, he reportedly confronted Elijah Arion, a 28-year-old acquaintance, over suspicious activities near his trailer. Witnesses recounted seeing Duval approach Arion, followed by the sound of gunshots. Duval was never seen again.
In the aftermath, Arion was confronted by other residents. He apologized for the incident and made an unsettling comment likening the situation to the 2013 murder of Eric Ratledge, whose body was discovered near the same area. Shortly thereafter, Arion fled to Largo, Florida, driving his yellow 2000 Nissan Xterra.
Duval's disappearance was reported to the Stockton Police Department in September 2015, prompting an investigation by the Shasta County Sheriff's Office. Detectives traced Arion to Florida, where he had been residing since June. A Ramey Warrant was issued for his arrest on October 8, 2015. Arion was apprehended in St. Petersburg, Florida, and interviewed by detectives. While he provided some information, he declined to disclose the whereabouts of Duval's body, stating, "I did my job turning myself in, you need to do your job now." Due to insufficient evidence, Arion was released from custody, though he remains the sole person of interest in the case....Read More
